Job summary

ChristianaCare is recruiting for a casual Medical Assistant I on the Primary Care Float Team, Region Three, covering multiple locations including Medical Arts Pavilion II and Middletown sites. The role supports providers in exams and treatments, handling clerical duties and ensuring quality patient care in both virtual and on-site appointments.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, plus a Medical Assistant program graduate with current certification or within three months of hire.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED required.
• Graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant Program with current Medical Assistant Certification or obtain within 3 months of hire.
• Certification must be by a national organization accredited by NCCA or ANSI.

Responsibilities

• Greet and support patients virtually and on-site.
• Prepare patients for visits and perform point-of-care testing, injections, medications, and EKGs.
• Assist clinicians with examinations and procedures.
• Prepare exam/treatment rooms with supplies and equipment.
• Complete patient-specific paperwork and schedule tests, procedures, and surgeries.
• Perform POCT quality control and provide documentation support for providers.
• Troubleshoot video visits and help patients join the Patient Portal.
