Job summary

ChristianaCare is seeking a casual Medical Assistant I for the Primary Care Float Team, Region Three. Work includes assisting providers in patient exams, performing clinical tasks, and supporting both virtual and on-site appointments. Schedule is Monday through Friday, typically 7am to 7:30pm.

The role requires MA program completion and certification, with 2 years of MA experience preferred, and offers a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED.
• Graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant Program and certified or obtain within three months of hire.
• Two years’ experience as a Medical Assistant; three years’ preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and support patients virtually and on-site, preparing them for visits.
• Perform point of care testing and injections.
• Administer medications and perform EKGs.
• Assist clinicians with examinations and procedures.
• Prepare exam rooms with supplies and equipment.
• Handle patient call backs and schedule tests, procedures, and surgeries.
• Provide documentation support and assist with video visits.
