Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Medical Assistant I for Hematology in Massachusetts. The role supports patient care and clinic flow with clerical and clinical duties under supervision. You will collect histories, document symptoms, take vitals, and assist providers in a fast-paced hematology setting.

Educational requirements include an accredited MA program or MA training with certification. Strong interpersonal and computer skills are essential to ensure safe, efficient care and accurate

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Graduate of Accredited Medical Assistant program or MA training program plus MA certification.
• Certification required if not a graduate of accredited MA program.

Responsibilities

• Greet and transport patients to exam rooms and document symptoms.
• Take vital signs and collect patient history and medications.
• Queue refills and document allergies and smoking history.
• Alert provider when patient is ready and prepare equipment as needed.
• Support clinical and clerical workflow to ensure patient safety.
