Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Medical Assistant I in Hematology Oncology to support patient care and clinic operations. You will perform clerical and clinical duties, take vitals, document allergies and medications, and coordinate with providers to ensure timely care.

Graduates of Accredited MA programs or MA certifications (AAMA, CCMA, RMA, NCMA) are ideal. A high school diploma or GED is required; both part-time and full-time opportunities are available with a competitive pay range.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited Medical Assistant program or MA certification.
• High school diploma or GED required; certification preferred if not grad.
• Strong communication and patient care focus essential.

Responsibilities

• Greet and transport patients to exam rooms and document needs in HER.
• Obtain patient history, document allergies and medications, and update records.
• Take vital signs and alert provider when patient is ready.
• Prepare equipment and support age-appropriate patient care as needed.
