Job summary

Clinica Sierra Vista in McFarland, CA is seeking a Medical Assistant I-Float to perform routine patient care, support front and back office tasks, and ensure accurate medical records within a busy clinic.

You will work under the California Board scope, cover reception, and assist patients with questions while contributing to a patient-centered team focused on quality care and efficient scheduling.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued through the American Heart Association required.
• California driver’s license and valid auto insurance required.
• Associate's degree in business-related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine patient care and supportive functions in a medical clinic.
• Operate both front and back office tasks including patient check-in/out and records.
• Assist RN/LVN as applicable and maintain accurate medical records.
• Support in scheduling to maximize access and minimize delays.
• Maintain supply ordering and clinic workflow to ensure quality patient care.
