Job summary

Clinica Sierra Vista is seeking a Medical Assistant I/II for the Fresno Mobile Unit to float between front and back office roles, helping staff cover shortages and promote efficient patient flow.

The role requires a Medical Assistant program completion, BLS, and a valid California driver’s license, with a focus on providing high-quality patient care across clinic settings. Competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) card required (American Heart Association).
• California Driver's license and valid auto insurance required.
• Associates degree in business (preferred).
• Minimum two years medical office experience in outpatient clinic setting.
• Knowledge of billing codes, HIPAA and Medical Records regulations.
• Adhere to CSV employee health/immunization requirements.

Responsibilities

• Floats between front and back office medical assistant duties to cover staff shortages.
• Report to assigned clinic unless directed otherwise; support health center operations.
• Promote Clinica Sierra Vista Production System (CSVPS) and monitor health center objectives.
• Assist with patient check-in/out processes and scheduling to maximize access.
• Ensure compliance with JCAHO, HRSA, PCMH, HEDIS, UDS, CHDP quality guidelines.
