Job summary
Clinica Sierra Vista in Fresno is seeking a Medical Assistant I - Float to support routine patient care in a busy clinic. The role requires completing an accredited Medical Assistant program and maintaining BLS certification, with a California driver’s license preferred.
Venipuncture experience is a plus, and EHR documentation skills are valued. The MA I - Float will work with RN/LVN staff, handle receptionist duties, and help manage patient flow and scheduling to improve access and reduce
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- California Driver's license required.
- Venipuncture experience preferred; competency within 1 year of hire date.
- Experience with EHR documentation highly desired.
- Meet employee health/immunization requirements or obtain exemption where applicable.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine patient care and support functions in a clinical setting.
- Assist with reception tasks and patient scheduling to maximize access.
- Maintain medical records with integrity and privacy per policy.
- Collaborate with RN/LVN and other staff to deliver quality care.
- Order forms and supplies; cover reception as needed.
