Job summary

First Flight Health Centers in Dayton, OH is hiring a Medical Assistant to join a mission-driven team delivering patient-centered care.

You will room patients, take vital signs, assist with procedures, perform injections and EKGs, document in the EMR, coordinate patient flow and support follow-up care, while enjoying competitive pay and a full benefits package.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or 3 years of experience.
• CPR certification.
• Strong computer and communication skills.
• EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, and updating medical histories.
• Assisting with procedures and exams.
• Performing clinical duties such as injections, EKGs, venipuncture, and lab testing.
• Documenting patient information in the EMR.

What You’ll Do

As a Medical Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in supporting providers and delivering excellent patient care. Responsibilities include:

Rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, and updating medical histories

Assisting with procedures and exams

Performing clinical duties such as injections, EKGs, venipuncture, and lab testing

Documenting patient information in the EMR

Coordinating patient flow and supporting providers

Educating patients and supporting follow‑up care

Maintaining exam rooms, supplies, and equipment

Additional duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For

Required:

Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or 3 years of experience

CPR certification

Strong computer and communication skills

Preferred:

Medical Assistant certification

EMR experience

0–2 years of clinical experience

Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding
