Jefferson University Physicians is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians in patient assessments, examinations and treatments. The role includes patient flow management, EKGs, phlebotomy, injections, vitals and ensuring patient satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will have an HS diploma and MA certification within six months of hire. BLS certification within 90 days is preferred. This position is based in the Philadelphia area and involves office-based care at Jefferson locations.

Formación

• HS Diploma or equivalent required; Medical Assistant certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
• For NJ: graduate of a program with 330 hours incl injection training.
• For internal Einstein applicants: MA cert not required if hire date before 7/1/2024.

Responsabilidades

• Interacts with coworkers, visitors and staff consistent with Jefferson values.
• Escorts patients to exam rooms and verifies proper identification.
• Performs and documents vital signs, basic clinical data and medical history.
• Assists physicians with examinations and procedures, including EKG and venipuncture.
• Maintains and orders supplies to support office operations.
• Adheres to HIPAA privacy and security requirements.
