Family Care Center in Castle Rock, CO is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinic operations under physician or nurse practitioner supervision. You will assist with patient intake, vital signs, documentation, and coordination of care across the care team.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of formal Medical Assistant training program required.
• 1 year Medical Assistant experience preferred; EMR experience preferred.
• CMA or RMA certification preferred.
• BLS certification preferred.

Aufgaben

• Escort patients to exam rooms, interview patients and document chief complaint, allergies, current medication, and pertinent information.
• Measure vital signs and document in patient chart.
• Communicate with patients as instructed by physician or nurse practitioner.
• Provide written prescriptions for patients and document appropriately.
• Ensure reports, labs and information are retrieved and uploaded into patient records prior to appointments.
• Communicate abnormal lab results to patients under supervision.
• Triage and process portal and phone messages from patients and front office staff.
• Document any reactions to medications in patient’s chart.
• Maintain logs and required checks (e.g. refrigerator temps, emergency meds, etc.).
• Schedule, reschedule or cancel follow-up appointments and ensure linkage to authorization.
• Monitor patients during telemedicine and relay notable items to remote provider.
• Perform injections as needed.
