Ohio State University Physicians (OSUP) is seeking a Medical Assistant to join a dynamic outpatient care team. You will support direct patient care, room patients, measure vital signs, collect samples, and assist clinicians in exams and procedures in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent along with at least one of the following:
• A diploma from a Medical Assistant Program OR
• Minimum of 1 year of medical assisting experience OR
• Military Medic training OR
• EMT-P (Paramedic) training OR
• Equivalent of 1 year combined relevant medical assisting experience and education
• Preferences: Medical Assistant Certification
• Not certified? Tuition reimbursement program may help cover costs for certification.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, measure vital signs and record them.
• Complete patient interview and history.
• Prepare patients for examinations, tests and treatments; assist with procedures.
• Assist in examinations, carry out treatments and special tests as ordered.
• Set up equipment and medical treatment rooms for patients.
• Collect samples (blood, urine, sputum) and perform routine lab tests.
