Job summary

Ohio State University Physicians is seeking Medical Assistants to join our outpatient team. The role supports direct patient care, assists physicians and nursing staff, and helps maintain clinical workflows in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and at least one of the listed paths to Medical Assistant qualification.
• Preference for Medical Assistant Certification.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, measure and record vital signs (height, weight, temperature, BP, pulse, respiration).
• Complete patient interview and history.
• Prepare patients for examinations, tests and treatments and explain procedures; assist with physician-ordered procedures.
• May assist in examinations, carry out treatments and special tests.
• Set up equipment and prepare medical treatment rooms for patients.
• Collect samples (blood, urine, sputum) and perform routine laboratory tests.
