Florida Medical Clinic Orlando Health in Lutz, FL is seeking a Medical Assistant to perform patient care under physician or APP supervision in an ambulatory setting. The role supports data collection, exam preparation, and order entry in the electronic medical system.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma and completed Medical Assistant training, with certification/registration as required by Florida Health standards. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Successful completion of Medical Assistant training from an approved technical school (or verifiable applicable work experience in a patient care setting) required

Responsibilities

• Performs patient care under the direction and supervision of the physician or APP in an ambulatory care setting.
• Supports and demonstrate effective and professional communication with patients and family members
• Gathers patient data through interviews and observation
• Assists patients and families with preparation for examination
• Assists the physician or APP during examination and procedures
• Documents, treatments, procedures, and patient education according to Orlando Health and department specific policies
• Enter medication, laboratory and diagnostic imaging orders into the electronic medical system under the direction of a provider
