Job summary

Florida Medical Clinic Orlando Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support patient care in a Family Practice setting. You will perform data collection, assist with examinations, and document treatments under physician or APP supervision in an ambulatory environment.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Successful completion of Medical Assistant training from an approved technical school (or at least one year of verifiable work as CMA).
• Maintains current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification.
• Maintains current certification or registration by one of the listed agencies (CCMA, CMA, CMAC, NCMA, NRCMA, NRCAMA, RMA, ARMA, AAH).
• Applicants with accepted certification/registration from other agencies will be considered case-by-base.

Responsibilities

• Gathers patient data through interviews and observation.
• Assists patients and families with preparation for examination.
• Assists physician or APP during examination and procedures.
• Documents patient data, treatments, and education according to policies.
• Provides routine treatments and administers approved medications.

Education

Medical Assistant training

BLS Healthcare Provider Certification

NHA CMA/AMT RMA/NCCT NCMA etc. certifications

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or CCMA or CMAC or NRCMA/NRCAMA

Licensed or registered CMA/CCMA depending on agency
