Job summary

Florida Medical Clinic Orlando Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care in an ambulatory setting. Under supervision, you will collect patient data, assist with examinations, and document treatments and orders in the electronic medical records system.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Successful completion of Medical Assistant training from an approved technical school (or verifiable applicable work experience) required

Responsibilities

• Gathers patient data through interviews and observation.
• Assists patients and families with preparation for examination.
• Assists physician or APP during examination and procedures.
• Documents treatments, procedures, and patient education in EMR.
• Enter medication, laboratory and imaging orders under provider direction.
• Maintains compliance with Orlando Health policies and infection control standards.
• Maintains regular attendance according to policy.
