Job summary

Florida Medical Clinic Orlando Health in Lutz, FL is seeking a Medical Assistant to perform patient care under physician/APP supervision in an ambulatory setting, Monday–Friday 8am–5pm. The role supports the practice in data collection, patient preparation, and post-visit documentation, ensuring safety and patient comfort.

Requirements include high school diploma or equivalent and completion of Medical Assistant training; BLS certification is expected within 6 months.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of Medical Assistant training from an approved technical school or verifiable work experience in patient care.
• Maintains current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification or agrees to obtain within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient care under supervision in ambulatory care.
• Gathers patient data through interviews and observation.
• Assists physicians/APP during examination and procedures.
• Documents treatments and patient education per policies.
• Maintains infection control standards.
