Job summary

VIPCARE in Daytona Beach, FL is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinical and front-desk operations. You will maintain patient records, prepare rooms, assist physicians, and handle front-office duties with a patient-centered approach.

A high school diploma is required, completion of an Accredited Medical Assistant program is preferred, and CPR/IV start certifications are a plus. Proficiency with EMR, Google Suite, and MS Office is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of Accredited Medical Assistant program, preferred (RMA or CMA).
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant.
• CPR certification, preferred.
• IV Start Certification, preferred.
• Phlebotomy experience, preferred.
• Knowledge of medical coding, preferred.
• HIPAA knowledge, preferred.
• OSHA knowledge, preferred.
• Proficient with Google Suite and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent telephone and switchboard etiquette.
• Familiarity with EMR and computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Greet and prepare patients for provider examination and record patient history and vitals.
• Assist providers with examinations, treatments and procedures.
• Maintain and document patient records electronically (EMR).
• Handle front-desk operations: phones, scheduling, inquiries, triage.
• Explain treatments, medications and post-care instructions to patients.
