Job summary

VIPCARE is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide clinical and administrative support in a value-based primary care setting serving Medicare Advantage patients. Working under physicians, you will prepare patients, assist during visits, and support front office operations.

The role emphasizes compassionate patient care, accurate documentation in EMR, routine clinical procedures, and a team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred (CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or equivalent certification).
• 1+ year of experience as a Medical Assistant in a physician practice preferred.
• CPR/BLS certification required or obtained within organizational guidelines.
• IV Therapy certification preferred where state regulations permit.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, OSHA, infection prevention, and CLIA regulations.
• Experience using electronic medical records (EMRs).

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and document relevant history and medications in the EMR.
• Measure, document, and report vital signs and observations.
• Prepare patients and exam rooms for provider visits.
• Assist providers during examinations and in-office procedures.
• Explain treatment plans and medications to patients.
• Maintain infection prevention standards and inventory.
