Job summary

Cook Children's Medical Center in Southlake, TX is seeking a Medical Assistant to function in a collaborative ambulatory care setting. You will assist in preparing and delivering patient care as directed by providers, and perform clinical duties per policy to support the nursing process and the overall treatment plan.

The role requires a High School diploma and either MA school completion or MA certification, plus current BLS certification (national certification preferred).

Qualifications

Summary: The Medical Assistant will function in collaborative practice with physician(s) and/or advanced practice provider(s) in an ambulatory care setting. Assists in the preparation and delivery of ambulatory patient care as directed by provider(s) and other licensed clinical personnel. Skillfully and consistently performs clinical duties per established departmental policies and procedures. The care is based on the nursing process and augments the medical plan of treatment appropriate to the ambulatory care setting with an emphasis on good customer relations.

Education and Experience High School diploma required. Either a graduate of an accredited MA school OR a current MA certification required.

Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Current BLS Certification required. National certification preferred.
