Job summary

Elite Corporate Medical Services in San Luis Obispo, CA is seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our clinic full-time. You will provide front and back-office support, including vitals, histories, and assisting physicians during examinations.

The role requires MA certification, strong patient care, empathy, and excellent communication. You will maintain exam rooms, prepare equipment, and assist with procedures in a dynamic healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Medical Assistant certification program.
• Proficient in medication administration, capillary and venipuncture.
• Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
• Excellent patient care skills, including compassionate and empathetic care.
• Familiarity with basic life support (BLS) procedures.
• Strong organizational and attention to detail skills, with ability to adapt to working in different locations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform administrative and clinical tasks to support healthcare professionals.
• Obtain and record patient medical history, vital signs, and other relevant information.
• Assist with patient examinations and procedures.
• Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers.
• Prepare and maintain examination rooms and medical equipment.
• Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens for testing.
• Provide patient education on medications, procedures, and self-care techniques.
• Schedule appointments, manage medical records, and handle forms.
