Job summary

Elite Corporate Medical Services is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant to support our Salinas clinic, providing front and back-office tasks one day per week. The role requires bilingual English/Spanish fluency, MA certification, and the ability to assist with exams, injections, lab work, and patient education.

The position emphasizes compassionate patient care, accurate vital signs, and efficient clinic operations. Schedule: Saturday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm with a one-hour lunch break.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Medical Assistant certification program.
• Bilingual English/Spanish with medical terminology fluency.
• Proficient in medication administration, capillary and venipuncture.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology and medical terminology.
• Excellent patient care, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with basic life support (BLS).
• Sick leave policy and use of clinics for dependents.

Responsibilities

• Perform front and back office clinical tasks to support healthcare practitioner.
• Record patient medical history, vital signs and other information.
• Assist with patient examinations and procedures.
• Administer medications and injections as directed by providers.
• Prepare and maintain examination rooms and medical equipment.
• Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens.
• Educate patients on medications, procedures and self-care techniques.
• Schedule appointments, manage medical records and forms.
