Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking a Clinical Assistant to support orthopedic and sports medicine clinics. You will help room patients, collect histories, and assist providers during visits, contributing to an organized, high-quality patient experience.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, MA certification/registration, and demonstrated communication and patient education skills. Training is provided; schedule is Monday–Friday with no weekends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education preferred.
• MA certification/registration through an accredited national institution.
• Medical assisting training preferred.
• Excellent communication and patient education abilities.
• Proficiency with email and Internet applications.

Responsibilities

• Rooming patients and preparing them for appointments.
• Taking patient histories and documenting information in the EMR.
• Preparing exam rooms and assisting providers during patient visits.
• Communicating patient concerns and information to the provider.
• Assisting with suture removal, injection preparation, and brace fitting.
• Scheduling surgeries and follow-up appointments.
• Providing patients with instructions and education.
• Documenting office visits and patient communications.
