Job summary

U.S. Urology Partners is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide both administrative and clinical support across clinics.

The role requires independence and teamwork, greeting patients, preparing exam rooms, managing records, scheduling procedures, and assisting with intake and vital signs. The ideal candidate will have a Medical Assistant degree or equivalent, a high school diploma, at least one year of experience, and certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent required.
• Medical Assistant degree from an accredited vocational institution, or a community college course in Medical Assisting.
• Minimum of one (1) year experience preferred.
• Certified in Medical Assisting strongly preferred.
• Travel to other clinics as needed.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Knowledge in computer information systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support: answer calls, schedule appointments, reschedule no-shows, and manage patient records.
• Process referrals and ensure insurance authorizations for procedures.
• Prepare examination rooms and assist with patient care as needed.
• Record patient vital signs and maintain EMR documentation.
• Assist physicians and collaborate with RNs/LPNs in patient care.
• Ensure OSHA compliance and participate in trainings and in-services.
• Greet patients and direct them to the appropriate area for their appointment.
