Job summary

North Putnam Family HealthCare in Bainbridge, IN is seeking a Medical Assistant to assist with patient registration and rooming. You will support in-office procedures, collect vitals, prepare for the provider, and manage before/after visit tasks with accuracy and confidentiality.

You will handle insurance authorizations, schedule testing, and maintain medical records with attention to HIPAA guidelines. A Medical Assistant certification and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist with in-office procedures.
• Collect vitals, weight, and patient information and complete initial testing.
• Complete medication reconciliation.
• Order testing or labs as requested by provider.
• Complete all Prior Authorizations for tests and surgeries ordered.
• Efficiently conduct check-in, check-out, and rescheduling.
• Prepare meds for injections.
• Call patients with results.
• Complete FMLA paperwork.
• Maintain stock and scan/index medical records.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
