Job summary

HonorHealth is seeking a Medical Assistant for the Cancer Care-JCL location in Phoenix. This role provides general front and back office support, escorts patients, maintains exam rooms, and supports providers in exams and procedures.

Role requires a high school diploma or GED and completion of an MA program; BLS is required and a Fingerprint Clearance Card is mandatory. CMA certification is preferred; sign-on bonus up to $2,000 is available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of an MA training program is required.
• 6 months MA experience preferred.
• BLS certification is required.
• Fingerprint Clearance Card required.
• CMA certification preferred (not required).

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare rooms.
• Perform front and back office duties including scheduling and charting.
• Assist providers during examinations and procedures.
• Administer injections and TB testing; perform phlebotomy.
• Travel to off-site locations for diagnostic testing if needed.
• Maintain medical records and organize insurance authorizations.
