Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Successful completion of a medical assistant program.
• Computer experience with EMR knowledge.
• Professional appearance.
• Strong medical terminology.
• Excellent phone etiquette and exceptional customer service skills.
• Excellent work ethic, including integrity, positive attitude, productive, organized, treats leadership with respect, excellent attendance, continuously learning and willing to ask for assistance.
• Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a detail oriented, fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Record patients' medical history and vitals in medical records.
• Greet and assist patients, accompany to exam rooms and prep for physician.
• Enter data and manage information in electronic medical records.
• Schedule labs, imaging, and referrals as ordered.
• Answer clinical phone lines and communicate with supervisors and providers.
• Restock rooms and manage supplies; monitor expiry dates.
• Call and schedule patients for STAT requests and prior authorizations as needed.
