Job summary

Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our San Diego Health Center. You will support the delivery of reproductive health services, assist clients with testing and education, and perform essential back-office duties.

The ideal candidate possesses a high-school diploma, is a graduate of a medical assistant program or has relevant experience, and demonstrates strong customer service and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program or 2 years of comparable clinical back-office experience.
• 2 years as a health educator or public health worker preferred.
• Demonstrated professionalism and ability to manage wait times.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of reproductive health services under clinician supervision.
• Assist clients with testing, screening, and education.
• Perform back-office functions including lab work and vital signs.
• Maintain clean exam rooms and support clinical staff.
