Job summary

Pain Relief Solutions is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant/Front Desk Float to join our Ocean-side/Escondido/Poway clinics. The role blends clinical support with administrative duties in a fast-paced Pain Management setting, with travel between locations.

Ideal candidates bring 1+ year MA experience, a completed MA program, CPR certification, and strong EMR/computer skills. You’ll collaborate with skilled providers and contribute to improved patient outcomes every day.

Qualifications

• 1+ year Medical Assistant experience.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program.
• CPR certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months).
• Strong EMR and computer skills.
• Excellent communication and multitasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and support providers during visits.
• Manage EMR tasks (lab orders, charting, charges).
• Process prescription refills.
• Complete accurate patient documentation.
• Respond to patient calls and concerns.
• Complete accurate patient documentation (admin).
• Manage EMR tasks (lab orders, charting, charges).
• Respond to patient calls and concerns.
• Review and distribute incoming faxes.
• Processing Medical Records.
• Request, scan, and manage medical records.
• Process referrals and maintain accurate patient data.
• Manage appointments (schedule/reschedule/cancellations).

• Educate patients on upcoming visits and procedures.

What You will Be Doing

Clinical Care

Work Environment

• Active role (standing, walking, stooping, bending, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and crouching. Requires eye-hand coordination, finger dexterity, talking, hearing and specific vision abilities including depth perception, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus and lifting up to 50 lbs.)
• Travel to other clinic locations required.
