Job summary

Urology Associates of Cape Cod in Yarmouth Port, MA is seeking a versatile team member for a blended Front Desk and Medical Assistant role. You will handle patient check-in/check-out, scheduling, insurance tasks, and assist physicians with clinic duties, including rooming patients and supporting procedures.

The ideal candidate has experience in a medical office or patient-facing role, can work both administrative and clinical tasks, and follows HIPAA guidelines.

Qualifications

• Experience in a medical office or patient-facing role preferred.
• Comfortable with administrative and hands-on clinical work; cross-training possible.
• Excellent communication, discretion with confidential information, HIPAA adherence.
• Organized, dependable, and able to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW) or another EMR and insurance verification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Front desk & patient services: greet patients, check-in/out, verify demographics and insurance, collect copayments.
• Schedule and confirm appointments and procedures; manage daily provider schedules and recall lists.
• Obtain referrals and prior authorizations; answer and route calls; relay messages to clinical staff.
• Maintain patient information in the EMR and ensure forms and consents are completed.
• Clinical duties: room patients, record vitals/history, and assist with procedures.
• Process prescriptions and communicate with pharmacies; stock exam rooms and monitor supplies.
