Job summary

Balance Health is seeking a Cross-trained Medical Assistant to support daily operations across clinical and administrative tasks. The role covers patient care, front-d desk support, and coordination between patients and providers, with travel to Seattle and Mill Creek as needed.

The ideal candidate has MA training, CDC CPR certification preferred, and experience with EMR systems such as Athena. Washington state registration is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Certification from an approved medical assistant program preferred, or equivalent combination of training.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Current American Heart Association CPR Certification preferred.
• Willing to register with Washington state.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients and document basic medical history.
• Organize and schedule appointments.
• Update and file medical records and insurance reports.
• Arrange hospital admissions and laboratory services.
• Check with patients and type up patient charts.
• Assist during medical examinations.
• Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes, and forms.
• Handle receivable and payable accounts and keep financial records.
• Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments.
