Job summary

Balance Health is seeking a cross-trained Medical Assistant to support clinical tasks and front desk duties at our Washington Integrative Foot and Ankle Center, serving the Seattle area and Mill Creek as needed. The role combines clinical care with administrative duties to maintain smooth, timely operations.

The successful candidate will assist in examinations, manage patient charts, and support financial and scheduling tasks while working a Monday–Friday 8-hour shift with on-call

Qualifications

• Certification from an approved medical assistant program or equivalent training
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Current American Heart Association CPR Certification preferred
• Willing to register with Washington state
• EMR Experience, Athena experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Interview patients and document basic medical history
• Organize and schedule appointments
• Update and file medical records and insurance reports
• Arrange hospital admissions and laboratory services
• Check with patients and type up patient charts
• Assist during medical examinations
• Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes, and forms
• Handle receivable and payable accounts and keep financial records
• Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments
