Job summary

Planned Parenthood of Florida is seeking a Medical Assistant to join the Fort Myers health center. This full-time role primarily supports front office operations with patient registration, scheduling, and insurance verification.

The position includes cross-training to back-office MA duties to meet operational needs. Ideal candidates have a High School diploma, with at least one year of MA experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year hands-on clinical experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.
• New grads from accredited Medical Assistant programs may be considered for right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, register patients, schedule appointments, verify insurance, collect payments, and maintain documentation.
• Provide front office support and cross-training for back-office Medical Assistant tasks as needed.
• Assist with taking patient histories and STI screenings.
