Job summary

Physician Partners of America is seeking a Medical Assistant in Florida to greet patients, manage check-in/check-out, and prepare patients for examinations. You will collect vital signs, review patient histories, and assist providers with examinations and procedures during clinic hours.

Qualifications

• BLS certification.
• Medical Assistant experience (1+ year preferred).
• Minimum of one year pain management experience preferred.
• Travel to and from clinics within the region as business needs support the request.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients upon entry; handles check-in and check-out.
• Verifies insurance for walk-in patients and answers calls.
• Maintains patient accounts and records; schedules appointments.
• Takes patient histories and vital signs; prepares patients for examination.
• Assists physicians and mid-level providers during examinations and treatments.
• Performs basic laboratory tests and collects specimens.
• Enters data into the EMR and scans/indexes documents.
• Arranges for hospital admissions and lab services.
