Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a MA training program required.
• 6 months experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.

Aufgaben

• Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients, escorts to exam rooms, takes vital signs and documents chief complaints.
• May travel to off-site locations to perform diagnostic testing and assist in exam components.
• May administer injections and TB testing under physician order.
• Performs venipuncture and basic CLIA-waived lab tests; handles front office duties including reception and scheduling.
• Organizes insurance authorizations and referrals; communicates with case management when needed.
