Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Medical Assistant diploma or certificate from an accredited facility.
• Excellent patient care, office teamwork, attention to detail and accuracy are required.
• Good oral and written communication skills, good computer skills, flexible and dependable, and able to multitask in a fast-paced medical office.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients.
• Register patients according to established protocols.
• Assist patients with forms and documentation including medical insurance.
• Ensure patient information is accurate including billing details.
• Answer calls and inquiries.
• Schedule patient appointments.
• Collect co-pays and payments.
• Obtain external medical reports as required by medical staff.
• Respond to information requests and complete other clerical duties as assigned.
• Keep reception area neat and clean.
• Safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality.
• Assist with charting and recording infusion vitals/administration.
• Obtain vitals before, during, and after infusion.
• Draw labs if needed.
• Conduct pre-infusion questionnaires with patients.
• Assist with removal/discontinuation of IV.
• Maintain sterile environment at all times.
• Maintain drug inventory & medical supply stock.
