Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Medical Assistant certification from an accredited program (NHA/AMCA) required.
• BLS Certification (American Heart Association) required.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtain vital signs, reason for visit, and document symptoms.
• Provide injections, immunizations and patient care as ordered by the provider.
• Assist with medical procedures and triage urgent issues as needed.
• Document information in electronic medical records and manage referrals.
• Schedule appointments and handle patient check-ins and inquiries.
• Process insurance verifications and authorizations and assist patients with plans.
