Job summary

MarinHealth seeks a Medical Assistant - Front/Back Swing to support clinicians in delivering compassionate, efficient patient care. Under supervision of Clinical Lead and Practice Leader, you will gather patient information, take vitals, assist with procedures, and manage re-processing of instruments.

You will document in Allscripts EMR, assist with injections and immunizations, schedule, answer phones, and coordinate referrals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Medical Assistant certification from an accredited program such as NHA and AMCA is required.
• BLS Certification (American Heart Association) required.
• At least one year of related medical assisting experience in a physician’s office or other clinical setting, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Rooming patients, obtaining vitals, and documenting symptoms, frequency, and severity.
• Provide injections, immunizations, and other patient care services as ordered by the provider.
• Document in EMR and manage referrals (Allscripts experience preferred).
• Answer telephones, schedule appointments, greet/check in patients, and resolve patient concerns.
