Job summary

Hartford HealthCare is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide clinical and clerical support in patient care across multiple Primary and Specialty Care offices. The role includes vitals, medication reconciliation, testing, and assisting providers, with flexibility to travel between offices to meet coverage needs.

Qualifications

• Diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program or CT CNA/EMT/Paramedic certification or relevant experience as outlined.
• Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) within 3 months of hire.
• All required credentials maintained throughout employment.

Responsibilities

• Vitals, medication reconciliation, allergy reconciliation, screenings, patient history and virtual health.
• Conducts point of care testing including quality control and documentation.
• Assists providers with in-house procedures as needed.
• Provides administrative support including scheduling, chart prep, referrals, check in/out, prior authorizations.
• Floats to other offices based on business needs.
