Job summary

Hartford HealthCare Medical Group is seeking a flexible Medical Assistant to join our Float Team. You will travel regionally to support Primary and Specialty Care settings, providing essential clinical and clerical support under the Medical Assistant scope of practice.

Qualifications

• Diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program or CT CNA/EMT certification.
• Certified BLS Provider required within 90 days of hire date.
• Credentials must be maintained throughout employment.
• One year of direct patient care experience preferred; MA externship welcome.
• EPIC EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Vitals, outside medication reconciliation, allergy reconciliation, screenings, patient history and virtual health.
• Point-of-care testing with quality control and documentation.
• Assists providers with in-house procedures as needed.
• Administrative support: scheduling, chart prep, referrals, check-in/out, prior authorizations, transportation facilitation.
• Floats to other offices based on business needs.
