Job summary

Mercy Clinic Southfork Float Pool seeks a Medical Assistant to support providers with direct and indirect patient care in a busy outpatient setting. You will greet patients, take vitals, assist during exams, perform basic diagnostics, document care, and help with scheduling and front-office tasks. This full-time, day-shift role covers multiple Mercy clinics in the South St.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Education Preferred: Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program
• Experience Preferred: One year of applicable patient care experience or applicable medical office experience as defined by the clinic
• New hire must attend MA Clinic Academy training

Responsibilities

• Greet and room patients, obtain vital signs.
• Prepare patients for examination and assist providers during exams.
• Perform basic diagnostic tests as deemed competent.
• Document care accurately and timely.
• Assist with scheduling diagnostic tests, referrals, and follow-ups.
• Front office tasks: check-in/check-out, phones, faxes.
