Job summary

Sentara Health Plans in Virginia Beach, VA seeks a qualified Medical Assistant for a full-time Float Pool role. Primary work will be in Elizabeth City, Moyock, and Edenton, NC, with potential travel to Virginia Beach or Chesapeake; shifts are 8, 10, or 12 hours, Monday through Friday.

You will perform patient care and administrative tasks under supervision of physicians and clinicians. Certification as CMA/CCMA/RMA/EMT-Basic is required; BLS within 90 days; 1 year of experience preferred;

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (Preferred)
• Active CMA, CCMA, RMA, or NREMT-Basic (Required)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire.
