Griffin Health in Derby, Connecticut seeks a Medical Assistant to support patient care in a surgical office. You will prepare exam rooms, document patient history, collect specimens, obtain vitals, and assist with procedures.
You’ll manage phone calls, appointments, referrals, and prior authorizations, and maintain accurate medical records. EMR experience and customer service skills are required; phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Education:High School Diploma or GED. Graduate of recognized Medical Assistant/ Medical Office Assistant diploma program preferred.
Experience:
Experience working in a surgical office strongly preferred.
Must possess strong customer service skills and must be able to multi-task.
Experience with electronic medical records is required.
High School or better.
Three months experience in phlebotomy
