Job summary

Community Medical Centers is seeking a Medical Assistant to join the care team. You will perform intake assessments, medication reconciliation, vital signs, and rooming prior to physician visits. The role includes immunizations, basic CLIA-waived lab testing, and data entry into the EHR.

You’ll support telehealth visits, coordinate with providers, and help maintain a smooth patient flow while upholding quality metrics. BLS certification is required or obtainable before hire.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited medical assistant training program.
• Current basic life support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain before hire date.
• Ability to take vital signs, perform injections and venipuncture.
• Experience with lab specimen collection and CLIA-waived testing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct intake assessments including reason for visit and medical histories.
• Perform immunizations and administer injections as ordered.
• Record lab results and enter data into the EHR accurately.
• Assist in pre-visit chart scrubbing and patient flow management.
• Provide telehealth/telephone intake and interpreter support as needed.
• Maintain supplies and ensure clean, stocked exam rooms.
