Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking an Medical Assistant to provide direct patient care in an outpatient clinic setting. You will collect vitals, document history, reconcile medications, and support flow and scheduling. Proficiency with EPIC EMR is essential, and clinical competency will be assessed on hire.

The role may include EKGs, lab tests, injections, or phlebotomy once competency is demonstrated. This is an on-site position requiring strong communication and organizational skills to assist

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with 1+ year MA experience in a medical office.
• Hands-on patient care including vital signs, history, and clinical procedures.
• MA training program with clinical competency assessment required.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs and document patient history.
• Reconcile medications and assist with injections or vaccines as directed.
• Facilitate patient flow and schedule appointments.
• Manage EPIC EMR, process orders and prior authorizations.
• Coordinate tests, labs, and procedures; may perform EKGs or phlebotomy.
