Job summary

ChenMed LLC is seeking a Care Promoter 1, Float to support physician-led care teams in delivering high-quality primary care for a defined patient population. The role blends administrative and clinical tasks under physician supervision to keep centers running smoothly.

The position requires a Medical Assistant/EMT/Paramedic credential, BLS, and strong English communication. Willingness to travel locally and work evenings/weekends as needed is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of a Medical Assistant, Patient Care Technician, EMT or Paramedic program.
• BLS certification required; EMR experience preferred.
• Geriatric patient experience is a plus; strong customer service focus.

Responsibilities

• Measure and record patient vital signs.
• Record patient interview and medical history.
• Communicate patient needs to PCP/ Clinician.
• Prepare patients for examinations and perform basic screening tests.
• Assist physician during exams and explain instructions to patients.
• Observe patients and report changes to PCP/clinician.
• Perform non-critical medical procedures per instructions.
• Collect phlebotomy and other lab specimens; perform basic tests.
• Prepare and administer medications; manage dressings and sutures under supervision.
• Maintain supplies, equipment, sterilize instruments; adhere to OSHA standards.
• Process patient messages and relay information; call prescriptions to pharmacy.
• Use medical terminology; comply with legal/ethical standards; ChenMed Rx usage.
• Provide health coaching to a defined patient group; follow up weekly.
• Perform other duties as assigned by manager.
