Job summary

MLK Community Healthcare seeks a Medical Assistant - Float to support family practice and specialty clinics. You will float to multiple ambulatory locations, assist providers with procedures, document patient histories, and help maintain smooth patient flow.

Responsibilities include adapting to site schedules (7am–7pm), performing basic MA tasks, coordinating with the Practice Manager, and ensuring proper documentation and patient instructions. Multisite experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; five years' experience may substitute.
• Medical Assistant Diploma/Certificate required.
• 1–2 years in a medical practice environment preferred; multi-site and specialty experience a plus.
• BLS certification through American Heart Association preferred.

Responsibilities

• Float to designated sites based on staffing needs; accommodate site start times between 7am–7pm.
• Assist providers with office procedures and patient care per office protocols.
