Job summary

Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute in Largo is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians in the office, perform venipuncture, and handle routine laboratory tasks. The role requires a positive, patient‑focused approach and the ability to travel to clinics with a valid Florida driver’s license.

Ideal candidates have at least one year of medical office experience, a high school diploma or GED, and BLS certification or the ability to obtain it within 30 days.

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience as a medical assistant in a clinic or physician’s office with the ability to perform venipunctures preferred.
• Valid Florida driver’s license is needed for travel to the clinics.
• High school diploma or GED is required and will be required to produce at time of hire.
• BLS required upon hire or must be obtained within 30 days of employment (FCS will provide BLS course within first 30 days).
