Job summary

Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians in our Brooksville-area offices and nearby clinics. The role involves phlebotomy, specimen processing and basic in-office lab tasks to ensure smooth patient care.

Qualified candidates have at least one year of MA experience, a valid Florida driver's license, high school diploma or GED, and BLS certification within 30 days of start date.

Qualifications

• Valid Florida driver’s license for travel to clinics.
• High school diploma or GED required and must be produced at hire.
• BLS required within 30 days of employment; FCS provides BLS course.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with medical procedures in office.
• Responsible for phlebotomy, laboratory testing, quality control, instrument troubleshooting, and maintenance.

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience as a medical assistant in a clinic or physician’s office with the ability to perform venipunctures preferred.
• Valid Florida driver’s license is needed for travel to the clinics.
• High school diploma or GED is required and must be produced at time of hire.
• BLS required upon hire or must be obtained within 30 days of employment (FCS will provide BLS course within first 30 days).
