Job summary

Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians in the Davenport office, assisting with procedures and patient care.

Responsibilities include phlebotomy, laboratory testing, quality control, instrument troubleshooting and maintenance. Candidates should have at least one year of medical assistant experience, a valid Florida driver’s license, and a high school diploma or GED. BLS certification is required or obtained within 30 days.

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience as a medical assistant in a clinic or physician’s office; venipuncture skills preferred.
• Valid Florida driver’s license needed for travel to clinics.
• High school diploma or GED required; must be produced at time of hire.
• BLS certification required upon hire or within 30 days of employment.
