Job summary

Advent is hiring a Medical Assistant for our Hendersonville and Franklin clinics. You will welcome patients, assist with exams, record encounters in the EHR, and coordinate with physicians to ensure smooth visits.

The role requires patient-first care, solid organizational skills, and the ability to work across locations. We value CMA/CCMA/RMA credentials or 2+ years of experience, strong communication, and a team-oriented attitude.

Qualifications

  • Experience as a Medical Assistant preferred (CMA/AAMA, RMA, CCMA) or equivalent.
  • Strong time management and ability to work autonomously.
  • Excellent communication skills—phone, verbal, written, and listening.
  • Problem-solving mindset with focus on patient experience.
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

  • Greet, room, and take vitals of patients.
  • Manage clinic appointments; coordinate with Physicians and APPs.
  • Sanitize exam rooms after each patient & clean equipment.
  • Record visits in the patient’s EHR.
  • Assist with clinical procedures and patient preparation.
  • Stock and manage medical supplies and pharamaceuticals as needed.
  • Cross-train in Patient Service Representative duties.
  • Identify and propose process improvements for efficiency and scalability.
  • Follow HIPAA and compliance rules.

Now Hiring: Medical Assistant
Locations: Hendersonville and Franklin clinics

As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring our patients feel supported and cared for from their very first visit through every step of their journey.

What You’ll Do as a Medical Assistant:
  • Greet, room, and take vitals of patients.
  • Ensure clinic patient appointments run in a timely manner, communicating with Physicians and APPs for necessary information before they see patients.
  • Sanitize exam rooms after each patient
  • Sanitize equipment used in clinics including instruments, scopes, and specialty procedure equipment.
  • Record into the patient’s EHR encounter as necessary per visit
  • Support clinical procedures as delegated by the supervising physician, including patient preparation, procedure scheduling, assisting during procedures, and reviewing discharge instructions.
  • Rotate/stock pharmaceutical closet; dispose of expired medications
  • Maintain inventory of medical supplies and non-sample pharmaceuticals
  • Order medical supplies and pharmaceuticals as needed, per established protocol
  • Crosstrain in Patient Service Representative duties
  • Identify, propose and implement continual improvements to drive process efficiency, scalability and innovation within the scope of your work that enhances our ability to achieve the ADVENT vision.
  • Support the overall success of the organization and perform other related duties as requested by leadership.
  • Plan and adapt with business growth and strategy, cross-training where necessary to accommodate different situations and locations.
  • Follow all legal and compliance requirements, including HIPAA guidelines to maintain patient privacy.
What You Bring:
  • Medical Assistant experience preferred, such as CMA (AAMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) or a minimum of two years of working experience.
  • Procedure assisting experience preferred
  • Excellent time management skills, including ability to work autonomously and with minimal direction.
  • Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills, including phone, verbal, written, and active listening, with the ability to build rapport with patients
  • Ability to solve problems with the focus on patient experience to make critical decisions
  • Experience working with performance-based goals or metrics
  • Solid data entry and technology skills including Outlook, Word, Excel, EHR
  • Tech-savvy with experience in Microsoft Office and Electronic Health Records
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • A problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • A positive, team-oriented attitude and strong work ethic
  • Must be willing to assist and train at various clinics within the market as needed.
  • Valid driver license

Monday & Wednesdays, 8:30am - 4:30pm

Tuesdays, 8am - 5pm

Thursday, 8:30am - 5:30pm

Friday, 8:30am - 2:30pm
